Hoping one of the Experts here can help me out. In trying to keep my system from clogging with uneccessary files, I have been rooting around a bit. In the "Windows" folder, I appear to have a whole pile of identical files that whose names are "MsgQueueDataFileMicrosoft Broadcast Message SMS Protocol (Receive Only)". Each is 1692k in size, and they seem to be growing in number! I currently have 7 of them!

There are also 7 files whose names are "MsgQueueMapFileMicrosoft Broadcast Message SMS Protocol (Receive Only)". each of which is 260k!

All together, thats almost 14 Mb!

According to the file properties, each of these files is 'created' whenever the phone is turned on. All 7 copies of them!

I have no idea what is actually in these files, but it seems likely that these files are just duplicates, can I delete all but one of them? :-k

Any ideas why they are gettitng duplicated?

Thanks in advance, Cheers! =D>

Dont worry the size of the files is being inaccuratly reported. They arent acutally that big! I think if you look at there properties with smart explorer you will get the right Size... Anyway I wouldnt bother trying to delete them, waste of time as they will be replaced on reboot :D

Very reassuring, THANKS!

If you have a moment to satisfy my curiosity, what are these files anyway, and why 7 of them?

Thanks again!

hey!

We must not forget of the files mxip_initdb.vol, mxip_lang.vol, cemail.vol, and Synckey.vol

All of these, which are located in the root folder, are growing in size every day. What is the use of these files? Should i delete them??

Cheers, mmystery
