Guest linsalad Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Hey all, Great site here...such a good find! I'm trying to set up my SPV for t-mobile t-zones. Note that I don't have GPRS/Internet access...I only have the simple WAP access. I've put in all the settings from the GPRS repository, but I still get a "dial error" when I try to connect to wsp://wap.voicestream.com or http://mobile.yahoo.com (another WAP site)... I'm thinking that all I really need is the IP address in the GPRS WAP connection entry...but with that only, with the MMS as well...heck, even with a proxy, I can't get it to work! (And yes, I called T-mobile yesterday, and they confirmed that the service is active for me :D ). I've searched the forum, but I'll try again after I post this. Still, any help you can offer will be MUCH appreciated (esp. since I'm on a roadtrip and would absolutely love to have at least simple access on my phone for those LOOOONG legs :D ). Thanks! Dave
Guest linsalad Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 On second check, this may be an e100 (it's a hand-me-down, so I'm not positive). Oh, also, I forgot to mention that I have the little "G" in a box lit up at top...but when I dial I get "Unable to place call" (or, depending on if I have MMS settings in or not, "Check your network coverage.") Any ideas? Thanks! Dave
Guest martin Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 Hi linsalad If you have T-zones then all you should really need is the following to connect to the internet. GPRS CONNECTIONS: Description: T-Zones GPRS Connects to: The Internet Access Point: wap.voicestream.com Settings-Data Connections: Internet Connection: T-Zones GPRS Load Iinternet Explorer and goto Menu-Options-Connections: Tick 'automatically Detect Settings' You should be able to connect to Internet sites.
