Guest elhornet Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Tonight I was sitting with my girlfriend eating dinner, with my E200 sitting on the dinner table. I could hear some kind of buzzing, almost as if someone was playing music out of a phone speaker really quietly. Glanced at the E200, screen was dimmed but still visible and the phone was quite clearly locked. Hadn't made a call all night, or sent text, or used gprs or anything. I picked it up, and lo and behold, there is some kind of metal or rock music playing out of the speaker. It was the same 4 bars on loop over and over, with a deep humming behind it. I know it wasn't a mp3, as my phone has none on it. Bluetooth was off, all the PC's in the house were off, our wireless router was off and there was nothing else in the house I could think that could cause it. None of the games I have installed have a metal soundtrack either. I unlocked it, made a call to my girlfriends phone which made it stop as soon as I hit dial. Put the phone down after locking it....and it started again!! I turned the phone on and off again and its keeping quiet...for now. Cool but weird. Real weird
Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Your E200 has a being inside it!!! :D
Guest Disco Stu Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Could the speaker be picking up vibes from your neighbours ? :D
Guest elhornet Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Years ago I would occasionally pick up AM radio through my toaster, but this takes weirdness to a whole new level :D
Guest siu99spj Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 I can remember when I made a stereo amp. It amplified radio signals perfectly except for the fact that I built the thing without a radio in it! Something to do with the way I'd set up the amplifier coils or something, but that was a long time ago. My next few builds were flawless...
Guest Maverick Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 Ah.. a haunted phone.. Must have been a Nokia handset in its previous life :D
Guest Brody Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Does it answer back? If so ask it to remember your T9 :D
Guest e100man Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 On a similar note to your toaster, my bass amp picks up radio mic signals from a local Jehovah's Witness temple.
