Will have to get one of these. :D
Guest blackhorse Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 YEY! mine arrived this morning. Got it free of charge on a talk 400. Can anyone recomend any topics or websites that would do me good to look up?

Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 How long before you can change to a cheaper contract blackhorse?
Guest blackhorse Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 How long before you can change to a cheaper contract blackhorse? 6 months! So if your not needing the mins it may not be worth it? £50 a month for 800 mins for first 6 months (double mins promo) last 6 months will drop down to HSD at £10 a month So for the handset and all that talk time i dont figure it to be that bad a deal
Guest blackhorse Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 i ordered mine yesterday. shud be good.. :D howz yours? ya happy with it? Dead dead happy with it. Build quality is amazing, its dead sexy, alot smaller than i pictured! Accessories galore (mind you all SPV range has alaway been so far) Spare battery is a nice touch! Orange have put only a small pasting of there logo's and phone unlike 02 who cramped the poor little XDA2
Guest macpegg.uk Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 I work for Orange, they use to let ya do it after the 1st month, but direct sales have tried to clamp down, its 3 months before you can change it to the lowest talk plan, but it can be 4 months, but thats usually through phones 4u,or the C.F.W, i`ll be changing mine the 1st month i get it, if they catch you out, you could end up paying the fukll retail price, at £440.00.so for the sake of payin 120.00 to save 320.00, i suppose its not too bad really.

I work for Orange in retail (The Orange Shop), 6 month lock in is law on all new conections even for staff (upgrades bypass this) I belive CSS is now preventing changes as before you could it as soon as you walked outa the shop.
Guest macpegg.uk Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 Twats eh.. i suppose its still half price, there will be a few uhapy peeps, that will try and change it.. Well hopefully css will warn you before the change of tarrif, as cust try to say they don`t get advsd of anything. shud be fun for front line.. :D
Guest londonlad Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 isnt it four months? oh, where's the best place to get one from?
Guest CFairhurst2 Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Anyone got any info when you'll actually be able to upgrade to one of these directly from Orange? When I called the best they could tell me was it would be any time now, but they didn't know exactly when and to keep checking the website for details! :D
Guest pd.ryder Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Thanks for the pics - first time I've seen it. Looks rather XDA? Presumably the apps, processor etc are similar?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Apps, processor, manufacturer, designer... (it's the same piece of kit :D)
Guest blackhorse Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Apps, processor, manufacturer, designer... (it's the same piece of kit :D) Main differance to note is the battery XDA2 is fixed where as the SPVM1000 is removeable that comes along with a spare.
Guest macpegg.uk Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 On the Sony-ericsson, the pic of that fine lady, where did ya get it from? :D

Guest Brody Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 See here: http://www.msmobilenews.com/?cid=454 I achieved 640*480.
Guest mutleyboy Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 i was pretty sure the xda2 had a removeable battery too(it was the original xda which had a fixed battery) could be wrong though edit: just checked an old copy of W@Mob which had the xda2 review and the battery definitely is removeable on it-you dont get an extra spare though as you do with orange
