Guest Kane Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 I bought 2 Motorola MPx200 of ebay a month or 2 ago. Anyway they were off two different users and they have both stopped working during this week. Mine stopped working on sunday on the say to my holiday. It started loading and continues to do so for about 10 minutes so I opened it up took the battery out and turned it back on again. It just stops at the first opening screen now. My dads phone which is the same just wouldn't turn on all of a sudden and wouldn't go past the first opening screen either. Any ideas?
Guest Exodia Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Hold the blue action button while powering up the phone.
Guest Kane Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Which button is that? the centre middle one? I think i've tried them all and they don't seem to hard reset it :D
Guest Exodia Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Yep, the one in the center, that big blue one. :D Turn the phone off, hold the blue button in while turning the phone back on. You'll get a screen asking if you want to hard reset or not.
Guest Kane Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 I cant even turn it off though I have to take the battery out so that Ican get the hello moto loging first screen off
Guest kurtfhouse Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 That will be fine, take the battery off to turn it off, place it back in. Then hold the BLUE button in the center of the directional pad (the action key if you will) Then while still holding the blue button down push the silver button on the side of the phone in and hold until the phone turns on It will ask if you want to do a hard reset, yes or no Select yes and bobs your uncle, you will see the phone erasing flash  Be patient it takes a few minutes and make sure you have plenty of battery in the handset or plug it in, if the phone dies half way through the reset you will have an expensive paper weight! Let us know how it goes Cheers mate
Guest Kane Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 thanks it works without turning it off, I just hope the phone will work.
