About your app...

Name:

Whoa! Yeah! 05.07.2004

Author:

Brad ([email protected])

Overview:

A funky replacement to tossing a coin and calling heads or tails!

To use this application you must unzip and copy the contents to a folder called whoayeah in your program files area of storage.

'StorageProgram FilesWhoaYeah'

You can use ActiveSync's Explorer to create the folder and to copy the files over.

The WhoaYeah shortcut supplied in the zip file should be copied to your 'StoragewindowsStart Menu' folder to enable easy access to the program.

If you fail to put the files in the correct location the audio used by the application will not work correctly.

Apologies for no installer, but didn't have time.

The 'Jersey £2' coin pictures were the first decent ones I found, I am actually from England!

This application has only been tested on SPV E200 and appears to work fine.

Disclaimer: Use entirely at your own risk!

System Requirements:

e200

Screengrabs:

(Sorry Im on e100)

V good!

I like it. Useful for when i'm down the pub playing pool!

Coupla suggestions...

1) Can you add a fast mode (with no sound) so that the coin tossing takes maybe a couple of seconds with faster image changing?

2) How about a choice of coin. I'm sure there's a few readers with weird coins that could post photos on this topic?

Cant wait for Whoa Yeah 2!

Thanks for the kinds words.

Thanks pzee for posting the details, didn't think to do that.

Thanks awarner for putting the thread in the right place - i wasn't sure.

I will look into the action key too.

Thanks SystemicAnomaly, glad you like it.

1) Yes, I will try and do that.

2) Yes, anyone got decent coin pictures, heads and tails, I will try and add to the app - please send me details of the origin in case i don't know it.

Version 2: Hmm, I may add a lottery number generator too.

That would be cool for the lottery :D

Also how about getting a selection of coins so you can choose

a country of choice?

Get sending your pics of coins in to [email protected], and I will add them to version 2.

If I post the zip into this forum, does the forum keep track of the number of downloads?

Arh, yes I found the control panel for attachments, pretty neat.

I will add the zip package to this then.

Updated, now defaults to a quicker mode - still has whoa yeah sound though, I haven't worked out how to use the registry - when i do then the option for audio off and the quick or original mode can become persistent (allow the app to remember your setting).

Recheck the 'about ' option :D

the fast mode is a lot better!

I found this £2 tails which would be great if you could add. (being cornish and all).

My mates down the pub were impressed btw

Unfortunately, this app doesn't work on my Mpx-200  When i try to open it, it says that it can't find the application or one of it's components...

And i have installed it in the IPSM/Program Files/WhoaYeah.

Any suggestion??? By the way, if you want, i can upload the special 2 Euro coin, limited edition, for the Olympics 2004. Tell me if you want it! :D

Cheers, mmystery

Im afraid this SP2003 app won't run on 2002 platform. :D

Hmm, won't my app run on 2002 because it's written in C# under the .NET compact framework? Does anyone know if I download the 2002 SDK and re-compile it may work or is .NET just not available on 2002?

SystemicAnomaly, I will try and add you coin, shame you haven't got the heads though, as will end up with a Jersey heads and Cornish tails - pretty rare coin i'd say! :D

mmystery, sorry you can't run this - post you coins images in though and i will add if picture quality is good, preferbly on a white background.

Hey bradwarduk,

I will search tomorrow for the 2 Euros coin, it will be a bit difficult to find in in my messy room!! lol :D Anyway, can you please transcode the program, so it can work on 2002??

it would be great!

Cheers, mmystery

Can you add a random numbered ball for the lottery? - eg - numbers 1 - 49. That would be cracking, and would add at least 30 minutes onto my weekend drinking time !!

Nice one Brody, you were somewhat quicker than me in supplying a smartphone lottery generator (but then again, what with work, the wife and 3 kids I don't get much free time!).

But I have 1 up on your app coz mine supports main, thunderball, euro and daily draws

And you don't have to click a button 6 times, just the once will do with my app :D

Have you got a license to use that Lottery logo dude :?:

:P Just teasing...
