Guest ashley.flynn Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 hello, i havent been in the smartphone scene since last november. At that time it was not possible to develop applications using vb.net, only c#(!) I have noticed a few users discussing using vb to make their apps on this forum. I was just wondering what, if anything, had changed about this situation Many Thanks
Guest Belac Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 Hi, I'm pretty new to all this as well, but i can tell you that you need Visual Studio .NET Professional or higher, and the Windows Mobile 2003 SDK available here (the SDK is free). Once you've installed VS.NET and the SDK, you can choose "Smart Device Application" as an option when creating a new VB project. The SDK comes with an emulator, so you can test and debug your code without touching your phone.
Guest Goldfinger Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 So if I have VB.NET Standard 2003, I can't write programs for smartphone 2003? That sux. :D
