Activesync problems

After cleaning up my computer and reinstalling windows etc. I have problems with active sync 3.7.1.

It only syncs the first time when I turn my computer on with the device on the cradle.

If I take the phone of the cradle and I put it on again it seems that active sync cannot find the phone. It just keeps on synchronizing. :?

Is someone familiar with this problem ? What should I do ?

( with active sync on the orange cd it works perfect. )
