ATTENTION!!! update to SP2003!

Recommended Posts

I just called Motorola Netherlands.

I once again asked for the Smartphone 2003 update! (wich they said would be available before I even bought it) and this is what they said:

there is not enough demand for it. we hardly get calls of people asking for it. if we would get enough demand they probably will make it.

so to ALL THE DUTCH mpx200 owners!!!!!!

call Motorola Netherlands and ask for it.

here is the number to call:

0800-0222743

it's free for dutch users. and PLEASE leave a message here if you've called them so we can keep track of how many actualy called, so we can't be lied to.

don't want to hear them say "hardly anybody called for it".

bel morgen meteen even.

my apologies Awarner.

to sum everything up what's been discussed above is that I've had contact with motorola (NL) about an update and that it's a bit of service that they should give to the peoeple that spend (big) money on their products.

I called moto yesterday (july 15) and they told me that they would get back to me. I told her some things and I think she had to discuss them with others. so I'll be expecting a call today, and if not.... I'll call them a 100 times a day untill they tell me what's going to happen.

Moto ows it's users at least that!

GRRRR!! they haven't called!! (oh what a surprise  )

I think I'll call them monday because I don't like waiting and I know that everything that takes longer than a day is forgotten by pencil pushers.

didn't like to wait for moto to call me so I called them: the following was discussed.

they said no update was gonna be made for release as they "chose" to release a phone that has 2003 on it (MPx220).

i said then why not release an update for the 200?

then they made up something about the 200 not being capable to handle SP2003 and that it would burn out or something if you did, so I told them that was BULLS*** because there allready is an unofficial release.

and still they incist they don't want to release an update.

so I asked how about them improving the unofficial one so that it can be an official one. still they rufuse.

was planning to get an MPx.... but after seeing moto's way of "service" and how important their costumers are to them. I think I'll go for another brand.'

and to moto... two middlefingers up for their costumercare!!!!!

This is typical. They started by telling you that there was no demand for it in the belief that most people would believe that lie. Then once you prove that there is a demand, they say that it's because of a commercial choice.

So what is it, because there is no interest, or because they chose not to? It's one or t'other, either way, they're lying little getts.

That's when the common man can expect from a corporation.

I'm sorry but I don't trust that update.

it's not that I don't trust it's gonna work but I lose my waranty if I install it. or am I wrong?

afraid my battery life will decrease even more (no more then a day) then it already is!

this sucks :?

Called Motorola Customer Care Netherlands for a second time yesterday asking for a WM2003 update for my MPX200. Got the generic "there is no demand for it" answer. Told them that was BS and that they better check again.

After that I sent them a letter and a fax to vent my frustration and accused them of pushing the MPX220 over the backs of MPX200 owners. I also told them that this attitude just drives people away from the MPX220, not towards it.

I will think again before I buy another Motorola phone.

A disgruntled MPX200 owner.
