Guest edsizzles Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 I was wondering if there is a way that you can assign your custom wav file ringtones to specific contacts. When I try to assign specific ringtones, it only shows the ringtones that come with the phone.
Guest Brody Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 It works fine on my E200 :? I presume these wav's work as ringtones when set in Settings>Sounds?
Guest tadmartin223 Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 What ROM are you running? It's possible you just have to shut the phone down and reboot, but make sure you save the .wav files in IPSM/Application Data/Sounds (WM2002) or Storage/Application Data/Sounds (WM2003, which you can also use .wma files as ringtones, too!). NEVER store in the Windows folder, along with the standard set of ringtones, as they will be deleted everytime you restart your phone. I stored ringtones onto the phone via ActiveSync and they didn't show up when trying to assign them to a contact at first, but then I just restarted the phone and the ringtones showed up after that. Just give that a try and let me know how everything worked out for you.
Guest edsizzles Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 What about if i'm storing them on the sd card. Do i create that folder on the card?
Guest Brody Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 Try creating a My Documents folder and placing tones it that, does it work?

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 As standard you cannot assign custom ringtones from the storage card.
