I think that any who do downgrade (and I may well be one of them) do not reflect badly on @nonymous' work. He/she has done a first class job and it's unfair to blame him/her for bugs in the OS. He/she can't be held responsible for Microsoft's bugs.

Well... technically you can't distribute it (just like the 2003 rom), however, you already have a licence for 2002 so putting it back makes you once again legal.

The only problem I see is that the ROM is likely to be a generic one so any customisations added by your service provider will be missing...

Living without all that Orange specific extra stuff loading itself at startup would be terrible......... terribly good! Another reason to have a copy on your HD just in case! :-D

I couldn't agree more... But if you needed to change it back (such as if a fault developed), it would be good to be able to restore it back to how you got it from your provider... With all their crap intact (and yes, I'm with Orange UK too!)

Putting the German 2002 ROM on your phone would only be legal if you have a German MPX200. But as the ROM is still coming from an unoficial source it is still classed as warez and so ilegal and still invalidates your

warranty.
