Guest sakkans Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 i couldn find the info that i want by searching the forum.... i'M pressing the rec+power butto same time... and a message "press any key to load boot loader" i'm pressing... direclty canarya screen... no chooice?! no menu? [and a "serial2 text at the lefs bottom of canarya screen]
Guest martin Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 You have to press and hold the action key (center joypad) to access the bootloader menu. Pressing ANY other key will take you straight to the canary screen
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 Also remember to have the Storage card in the phone when you do a Hard Reset.
Guest squall Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 I find hard resets are easier if you press the action button, release for a seconf when it says 'press any key' then press it again.
Guest 1straven Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 (edited) Also remember to have the Storage card in the phone when you do a Hard Reset. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Any idea on what to do if you dont have the sd card in your phone when you do a hard reset? I didn't and now it gets stuck at the orange sunset screen. This is for a work phone - model is a spv classic. Edited March 22, 2005 by 1straven
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 I seem to remember that it doesn't actually have to be an SD card. The grey blank that comes with the phone will do. You know, the SD-shaped bit of plastic.

Guest NeoMorph Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but, I have an SPV E200 which I've had to "Hard Reset" cos of a boot problem. The Only option I got was "RUU RECOVER"..It fixed the problem after about 2 minutes or so!?! Hope this helps Neomorph :D

Unfortunately not, with the blank used in tranit in the slot will give you a white screen only when trying to enter the bootloader menu. The Only option I got was "RUU RECOVER"..It fixed the problem after about 2 minutes or so!?! On the E200 this is the same as erase IPSM on the SPV\E100
