Hi!

I've just flashed my MPx200 with the new SmartPhone2003 Rom provided by @nonymous. First of all: great work, thanks to @nonymous!

ROM size

I've wondering why the image file for SmartPhone2003 the 1st=31,1MB and for the 2nd=22,7MB? Did @nonymous just use a better compression? A point towards better compression seems that the RARed image files get different rates, 81% for 1st, 69% for 2nd SP2k3 Edition, the size difference is melting to 2,25MB.

Nevertheless, beside naked Cartman, what else is stripped out of the image? So far, did anyone miss some functions?

Battery hint

I've read the hint at the bottom of the 1st release (german readme.txt) which recommend to full charge your MPx200 and make a HardReset to get full capacity. Seems to work fine. Tried a video playback in loop mode and got nearly 3 hours with full loudspeaker volume... Which video/compression/... ? You find the related article at mobilejoe forum, the characters shown in the video are from Creature Comforts, Aardman. Regarding the 2nd SP2k3 ROM and the battery tip, I read an article at msmobilenews which stated to make the HardReset while being plugged into the mains charger. Can't do that, every time I try to reach HardReset mode while plugged in, it won't appear! Did anyone get the dialog while plugged in?

space @ non-english

After flashing and HardReseting my beloved MPx200 I had look at the RessourceManager and find more than 12 MB of available physical memory, after changing to german language and regional settings, I've got only 11,73 MB free! Can anyone confirm this behavior?

I did. You have to do it a bit differently than on battery, though. Instead of powering the phone on while pressing action button, you have to power it up normally, then SHUT IT DOWN while pressing the action button to get the master reset dialogue.

The article on msmobilenews was written about the E200

as that is what beersoft did his testing with.
