Guest TANKERx Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 People, I'm ready to drop my phone from the nearest great height because it's so frustrating! ActiveSync is stuck in Guest mode and I'm unable to delete any relationships because the option is not available. When disconnected, ActiveSync just says "No Partnerships" (Hehe! Just like me :-( ). I've rebooted the phone, rebooted the PC, Hard Reset the phone, re-installed ActiveSync on my PC, tried running ActiveSync on my PC as a different user..... and everything sucks like a leach! ActiveSync has reached the stage now where it won't get up from the System Tray when I double click on its icon! I really want to throttle the little sod! Is there anythying I can do? I've tried looking for profiles in Documents and Settings and deleted them, but that hasn't worked. There must be something, somewhere telling either my PC or my Phone that there is no Sync necessary, but I can't find what it is. The Microsoft Knowledge Base is as useful as a chocolate teapot with a back pocket in its vest so please, is anybody out there able to make this old man a little more chilled than he is right now?
Guest pembo Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 lol, I've had a problem similar to this, the news isn't too good in that a Format of my PC fixed the problem. One thing you could TRY, is to plug your phone in - and then remove the USB Driver.. Right Click my comptuer > Properties > Hardware tab > Device Manager > and it should be something like Windows CE USB Devices remove them, and then uninstall Active Stink and then re-install it again and *maybe* this will fix you problem. If it doesnt, you could try changing the USB Ports your cradle uses (its worth a go..) Hope this helps.
