Guest aeiron Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Why don't any of the AT&T default Home screen layouts I saved work in Windows Mobile 2003? I copied them to StorageApplication DataHome and they show up in the list of available home screen layouts, but when I choose one and go back to the home screen it gives me an error: "No home screen layouts can be found. Install a valid home screen layout and then select it using the Home SCreeen item in Settings." If in fact they are just incompatible, can someone please upload or attach an identical version to AT&T's "simple" layout. I hate having a bunch of junk on the homescreen, all I want is the carrier and time as well as the signal and battery. Thanks -the AT&T simple layout is attached. change extension from .zip to .xmlsimple.home.zip
Guest Motofone Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Some of the plug-ins in 2003 are different. I think the "carrier / clock" plug-in and the "message count" plugins are different. Open the 2003 home sreen up in notebook and open one of your 2002 home screens up in notebook and compare.
Guest nelsonlye Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Hope this can help you up. Basic Home Screen Layout. Just rename the *.zip back to *.xml will do. Then copy it into your /Storage/Application data/home/Basic.home.zip
