Guest Renegade120 Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Just recieved one this morning and i can't seem to find out how to turn it off...seriously lol. When i press the power button only the backlight goes off, when i press a second time the screen TURNS off but i don't think the actuall phone is off. is it possible to turn it off then? Also when i first put the battery in it turned on straight away without me pressing the power button...is that normal? thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Pocket PC devices are different to Smartphones as they do not turn off but rather go into a standbyhibernation mode.
Guest Renegade120 Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 I wanted change over the sim card? do i just take out the battery to get to the sim card while its in hibernation mode?? is that ok to do?
Guest Michael Eyres Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Further to this.... can you help me... I used to press on All my old phones... Nokia, SPV 100, 200 the power button and get a choice of modes and profiles. I can not find profile on the M1000. How do i put it to say silent mode for meetings and no phone areas eg cinema's.... I know about flight mode by tapping the signal strength... but won't that still give alarms and other sound.... And outside setting was great in the Middle of the city sometime.... where is all that stuff on the M1000 and especially a shortcut to it !!! thatnks ASAP please as I have to leave my phone at hom on some aoccations now to be sure it will not go off.....
Guest live4life Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Although the M1000 is an SPV it is not a smartphone. If you really need help on questions specific to this device, it may be advisable to seek for guidance on pocket-pc forums. It's just a tip  Although, ofcourse, we will try to help you here as good as we can too! :P
Guest Michael Eyres Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Thanks I will try there and keep an eye out here as well... M1000 looks pretty Smart to me :>) regards M.
Guest too bad Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 got my spv m1000 a week ago i just find that if u use the vol slider at the side and disable vibrate u will b ok, these phones are awesome i do all my office work and still have great fun with em too much better than the e200
Guest Michael Eyres Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Great works fine..... I did it through the side slide vol bar... pretty obvious now i know hoe...set to off = silent + or - vibration... Still liked the profiles of other phone better though. thanks M.
Guest Michael Eyres Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Actually playing further taping the speaker icon at the top work the best for me and it changes symble to say what setting you have... I like it know :>) Thanks
