Guest Brody Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Hey guys, just a quick survey to establish if you'd be interested in miniSD cards. It looks like we'll be able to get hold of 256 and 512 MB cards with the 512 MB ones selling for around £100 (256 MB price to be confirmed). Simply enter your vote on the poll and we'll decide where to go from there!
Guest Disco Stu Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 I voted yes although I don't know for sure whether my next phone will use them. So I'm not buyinig one yet. The price compares to SD cards at the moment but I'd expect them both to retail for less than this as their useage takes off.
Guest Simon Desser Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Yeah, 512mb for 100 quid sounds good to me :P
Guest Marko31 Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Well 256 Mo Mini-SD is about 66€ /44£ so if the 512 is at 88-90£ it should be fine ...
Guest kurtfhouse Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 £100 for 512MB sounds good to me :P
Guest Simon Desser Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Being the impatient git that I am , I've ordered a 512mb Mini SD Card from Expansys who've just got them in stock :P Now all I need is a phone to go with it  http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=MINI_SD_512MB
Guest mavisdavis Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 To be honest I've voted Yes ... But I too ,am not sure which phone will be next. I'wont rush out and buy a miniSD (sorry Simon) as I did that with the 256MB SD Card when they 1st came out then all of a sudden phones started to use them and they dropped by half in price (ebay), in about 2 months and also my local computer shop has unbranded 512MB SD cards for £57 i'd much rather hold on to the E200 untill every other phone is free on the net and the bugs have been discovered. just my 50cents worth
Guest pd.ryder Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 A-ha! But will all mini-SD devices use all mini-SD cards?? (See E200  )
Guest Brody Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Good to see some positive feedback, i'll see what I can do... Watch this space!
Guest mcwarre Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 i'd much rather hold on to the E200 untill every other phone is free on the net and the bugs have been discovered. I agree with you; why should we beta test HTC products and pay for the privilege? Back on topic........... Brody, Do they come with a mini-sd to sd adapter so they can be used now??
Guest Brody Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 The sd adaptor is approximately one pound more as an add-on so its definately possible...
