Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Hi all, I am having loads of problems getting the AUTD to work, Paul has been helping but I still cant get it to work and I just want to ask you guys some questions about your setup. I am running Windows 2003 server with Exchange 2003 and ISA 2000 (all service packs/updates loaded) and I am using an E200. I can go into Activesync and sync manually, this works every time so I can communicate with the server and access my Exchange account fine. But its the AUTD which I cant get to work. I am on Orange and I have an orange.net email account. I have set this into the Mobile carrier. If I open my event viewer I can see "OMA Categorizer delivered an SMTP notification" messages so my server is doing something. Can any of you guys shed anymore light onto the problem :?: or can some of you post what you have in the Activesync, Menu,Options, Server Settings page please :?: Any info will be useful.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 There is a topic about exchange server in the Articles section may be of help to you?
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Thanks for the reply, I have looked at the posts for this but no joy, belive me I would not be asking if I could find anything. Paul has been assisting and with Pauls help I can sync manually but not AUTD. But to tell the truth it works but only about once a week, without doing anything my phone pops up a 'New Email' notice. But this is only very occasionally and I have deliberately not touched my phone and waited for further emails to hit the Exchange server and nothing happens (waited all day) and a few days later another new email notification pops up but there is no rhyme or reason to it. I have checked my logs and I cant see any differences in the events that have worked and the events that do nothing. Paul seems to think that something is happening at the Orange end which is stopping the special SMS from going through. So any further info would be really helpful, Paul did mention using GPRS but he cant find any notes for this other than it seems to work however no joy here.
