hi there,

i've got about 450numbers on my spv e200, and it wont let me sync them at all.

the calender and everything else syncs

just not the contacts!?

i've had this problem for ages but now i need the phone to sync to the computer. so i thort i'd post the problem here.

i doubt its a issue with activesync or outlook as the e100 i have syncs fine.

any ideas people?

btw i've tried reinstalling everything. (cant be that cause i formatt'd yesterday cuz i got a new system)

cause these numbers are from the original SPV, i had copied the numbers so the pager = +44 of the number, as that use to show on the sms's

ie

Mobile = 07712345678

Pager = +447712345678

nearly all my mobile phone numbers are stored in this way!

is that whats the problem with it?

I'm just guessing here mate, but I reckon you need to use +44 format for all Windows apps

Hi,

I don't think the phone number format should cause a problem - i have numbers in both formats and I don't have a problem.

I think the problem is with the 'partnership' between your pc and the smartphone.

unfortunately I'm at a PC without ActiveSync installed so some of these suggestions my be incorrect but try:

1. Make sure you are using the latest version of ActiveSync - the latest is 3.7.1 and you can download from

http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=U&start=1&q...c37.mspx&e=7627

2. Remove your partnership(s) from activesync and re-set them up. Go to File - Mobile Device then select the device in question. Then click File - Delete Partnership. Then unplug and replug your phone and let Activesync redetect it and set it up as usual.

Good luck!

Any resolution to this ambro? I am having the same problem and I am meant to transfer to a C500 2nite! I only have 84 contacts but it still only runs up to about 52/84 synched and even these don't appear in outlook. Have to physically disconnect phone to stop activesync running. Grrrr.

Posted

nope had no luck, heard it might be something to do with Numbers having extra blank spaces (white spaces) or if you use the note feature on the contacts.. try clearing the notes see what happens...

think your gonna have to go through your contacts one by one!

Removed the blank spaces and don't have any notes. Still can't sync the contacts though, best so far 64/79.
