*SORTED* - Brand new Qtek 8080 suddenly stopp charging ???

Hi!

Just got my new Qtek 8080 and thought I should do things right from the start. So I attached the battery pack WITHOUT inserting any SIM-card nor boot the phone up.

I attach the charger to the cradle WITHOUT attaching the cradle to the PC.

I put the phone in the cradle and the LED turns amber solid.

Now, after about 90 min of charging the LED turns off (basically no color, no falshing etc - just dead). I checked the powersupply and connections and all is there as I left it.

The phone HAS NOT BEEN REMOVED from the cradle after I inserted it the very first time. Also, the phone HAS NOTT BEEN powered on AT ALL.

I have not detached the phone from the cradle yet since I'm now waiting for some good tip from you pro's out there.

Have I damaged my phone? Please advice.

Hi Fred, welcome to the site.

I have the e200 variant and it only charges (amberlight0 until fully chargesd then the light reverts to flashing in turned on, or off as in your case.

This should be the same for your phone.

I doubt that my phone is fully charged. I'm thinking about removing it from the cradle and put it back again, but I don't know if this will do any harm to the battery. I want to try to maintain the battery correct from the start.

However, I'm not sure exactly what you mean. I'm totally new to the SMartphone-concept so please excuse. But I'm not new to mobiles nor PC:s ;-)
