It's a pretty good programs-launcher but I stopped using it as it seems to conflict with Xbar

I've been using this for about a year, along with xbar, and not had any problems. I find it a pretty useful app, particularly for apps that you want quick access to, but don't use them too often. If I assign them to the SPVs shortcut keys, I tend to forget which ones are on what keys! Hotbutton is good because you can just cycle through your shortcuts and get the shortcut title and icon for each app. I recommend it.
