Guest Chris Edwards Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 I don't have any coverage at home (unless I'm sitting on the top of my roof), so I've been looking around for an external antenna that would work with the connector on the back of the SPV E200. First off... Does anyone know what the exact name of the connector on the SPV is called? It looks very similar to the one my Lucent Orinoco 802.11b card has. I found a couple antenna's at this site here: http://cellantenna.com/Antennas/Glass%20Mo...nt_products.htm Has anyone tried hooking up an external antenna? Basically, I'd hook the phone up to the antenna when at home, and just use a bluetooth headset. Any information/past experience, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Guest martin Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 I saw this link at mpx200.org Makes very interesting reading :P Review of Digital Antenna's PowerMax signal booster http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=79...&source=HOMETOP
Guest Chris Edwards Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 Yeah, I saw that yesterday too. Looks pretty cool. At $500US tho, I'm not sure cell coverage in my house is worth that much, especially if it might not work :P.
Guest merguez Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 did you try an antenna booster ? selling on ebay for cheap. works well on my nokia 3410...
Guest Chris Edwards Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Haha, you mean one of them little metal things that go under the battery? Those things are scam. Don't help at all.

Guest Chris Edwards Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Yeah, I appreciate it. Sorry if my post came across as harsh. I've just seen so many reports around the net from people that were not in the least bit happy about their "antenna boosters".
