Guest int Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 As stated in the topic, my unlock button on my original SPV only works intermittently. I have to kind of push the whole unit (battery to the front) in hard and then push the unlock button for it to work most of the time. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone know how to fix it easily (instructions please?)? I'm guessing the contact on the button is just not touching properly. Can I somehow open up the unit and fix it? Or is anyone selling just the casing of an unlocked SPV for really really cheap? :P I live in Canada. I cannot do without my SPV! :D Reply or PM me please! Thanks!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Chances are the problem is the actual contact on the key is worn so you would need a replacement keypad rather than just a new case.

You wouldn't happen to know where I could find that? I live in Canada, so it's not like the SPV is sold here. I got it off Ebay. I don't see Replacement Keypads on there. How much would it be approx? And how hard is that to install myself? Thanks for the reply!

Guest discosrule Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 Sorry about this... but Bump !! One of my keys is playing up as well, anyone know where u can purchase a new keypad also a new screen would be good as well because mine is a bit scratched now !!! I assume though that I would need a whole case, just to replace the screen. Matt.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 You would need to replace the whole case to replace the screen. As for the sticking keys the only option is to try and find a faulty phone and use it for parts.
