Guest laf Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 Hi everyone I got a mpx200 running WM2003 with a 512mb sandisk SD card and a Fujitsu-siemens laptop with a built in memory card reader. When I insert the SD card in the reader it corrupted the contents of the card. Its changed the files and directories, corrupting them and removing the long filename extensions.. my documents becomes like mydoc~1 and I cannot copy files or open them. I formatted the SD card (in windows xp with the card reader) , and tried it again and the same happened, insert the SD card in the phone and all the data on the card is corrupted. Used my datacable to copy data and install stuff to my mpx again and it works fine. Should I format the SD with my phone? How do I do that? Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Guest Sasuke Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 i had this problem with a few of my old 128Mb cards. the only way around this is to not use the card reader, but tranfer files by connecting your handset via usb and active sync.
Guest laf Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 using the cable and active sync takes ages, i dont understand why when its a USB connection. copying mp3s to a usb mp3player is faster than when i copy mp3s to my mpx. and whenever i try and copy more than 60mb with the usb cable it just stops for some reason altho smaller files works perfect
