Guest nonose Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 I just installed a new 512meg sd ram card in my phone and converted a dvdrip avi with pocket pc converter. Ive got the file down to 150meg now ive made a folder called movies but when i try to transer the file to the folder with ms actve sync it takes an age then disconnects without installing the file any help would be appreciated
Guest Vector Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 This is a known (annoying) bug, the best reccomendation is to buy a card reader, you can get em pretty cheap nowadays, and they mean faster transfer rate and better reliability...
Guest martin Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 Strange, I've been sending files to my SPV using the USB cable with no problems :? Copied a 160meg video file to the SD card yesterday :P
Guest kurtfhouse Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 I had this problem, sometimes. Its weird some days it would copy others it wouldn't :? With a 160MB file even if it does copy though it will take forever, the best solution is a card reader/writer, it works every time nd takes just a few seconds even for very large files :P
Guest martin Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Yeah, it took about 30 minutes to transfer the 160MB file over the USB cable  The bar indicator on the copy program tends to reset itself a few times but I just ignore it as the file is actually still copying. SD card readers are very cheap so I'll have to go out and buy one now that I'm messing around with BetaPayer :P Ive got the file down to 150meg now ive made a folder called movies but when i try to transer the file to the folder with ms actve sync it takes an age then disconnects without installing the fileThe only time I've experienced this is when then SD card is write protected as it goes through the full copy procedure without saving the file.
Guest pembo Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 What could help is to ensure your Cradle is plugged directly into your PC (not through a USB Hub etc..). Just an idea.
