MPX200 keeps removing my personalized content

I'm sure that I'm just missing something simple here, but everytime I add content to my MPX200 via activesync to the /windows directory, it is deleted when I turn the phone off and then on again.

I am using an ATT phone that is SIM unlocked, but I haven't app unlocked it. I also haven't changed any registry entries. I am using it now on Tmobile.

Does anyone know if there is reason for this? Do I have to app unlock it?

Welcome to the site mate :P

You're putting them in the wrong place mate. The Windows directory gets rewritten when you reboot the phone.

Put homescreems & backgrounds in IPSM (or Storage) Application Data Home.

Don't make the same mistake with ringtones (many do) ; they go in Application Data Sounds if you want to keep them.
