My mobile turn's off while I'm talking could be hardware?

My Imate smartphone2 turns off it self while i'm talking could it be a hardware fault or a software?

Well I think it's a hardware bcz I tried 2 roms on and both done the same thing. First day it was with Orange Rom it turned off but I said it might be the battery, but today on the Imate rom I was talking to my friend it turned off the first time after 3 min of chat , I turned it back on then It turned off after 2.35 min , and the last time after 3 min ,so what do you think guys could it be the Power Amplifire?

have you checked the battery is still a snug fit?

this also happens a lot to me. but its not very often. when it happens i hear a buzz on the phone and then my phone shuts off.
