Deleting Contacts

Hi,

I have the original smartphone and wish to sell it. I have been through deleting all contacts from the address book but some still exist. The delete option is disabled on the remaining address book contacts.

I am unsure as to where these are stored SIM/Phone etc. I tried inserting a friends SIM to test the theory. It has now taken a snapshot of my friends contacts into the phone even though i have since removed the SIM and reinserted mine. Again these contacts cannot be deleted. It is like some auto-cache mechanism.

Obviously i do not wish to part with a phone that is still displaying an existing address book. Hope this makes sense. Help !!
