Copying files from PC to Smartphone 2003 Emulator

Can anyone tell me how to get files from my PC to the SP 2003 emulator.

I've tried using the 'Connect Emulator with ActiveSync' tool from Microsoft however it error's when it trys to connect.

I've just started out in deving in CF and what to try and create a CHM file reader for the smartphone, however I've no way to put the chm file on the emulator, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Good question, the emulator appears to be a bit of a black box when it comes to accessing its storage etc, I've messed around with it a bit but it only makes me :x - i find it easier to use my real spv and microsoft active sync!

Sorry can't help. doesn't look like anyone is forthcoming with an answer to this though!

If you add all the files to be deployed to the project in VS.NET, and then right click and select Deploy, all the files in the project should be copied over to which ever device you are connecting to.

You can use cefilevw.exe which is a FileViewer that comes with the SP 2003 SDK although it is not linked in the Startmenu.

You find it under C:Program filescommon filesMicrosoft SharedWindows CE ToolsPlatmanbin

If started you can choose to launch an emulator.

After the emulator started you must switch on and wait aprox. 5 seconds. Then connection is established and you can browse/copy files from/to the emulator
