Guest jawane Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 I used the tweak for custom ringtones of the sd card, however since updating to WM2003, I cant use WMA files for custom ringtones. The WAV files work fine but i get an error that says the ringtone is not working properly when trying to use a custom WMA ringtone. The ability to use smaller WMA files for ringtones was one of the main reasons I wanted to update to WM2003. Hopefully someone can help correct this issue. Thanks as always.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 Have you tried to usr the same custom ringtones from the StorageApplication DataSounds folder?
Guest jawane Posted August 2, 2004 Report Posted August 2, 2004 No, my phone died on me. It won't charge anymore, however there is not enough space to put enough ringtones on the phone itself. Thats why I'm trying to run them from the SD card. On a side note. What sucks is I have service with T-Mobile and Asurion (the insurace company) says I have to pick a T-Mobile phone to replace it and their phones suck. What would you reccommend I do? (What phone would you pick?) Have you heard of this problem before with the usb port on MPx's?
Guest shyne Posted August 2, 2004 Report Posted August 2, 2004 is there a certain file size or any other settings the wma has to be to be used as a ringtone? also is there a certain length the wma must be as well?
Guest Exodia Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 I encode my wma files at 70kb/sec and only do around 30 secs of audio since my voicemail picks up at 30 secs. The files come out to about 750kb, small enough to fit a few into the phones main storage.
Guest dearsina Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 I just got a replacement e200 and I can't seem to play the very same wma-ringtone placed in the very same folder as I did on my previous e200. Could it be that this functionality has been removed in the recent upgrade, or am I missing the very obvious? sina london
Guest ShinyBill Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 Have you heard of this problem before with the usb port on MPx's? I haven't heard of a problem... but my phone also won't charge! Whether it is the usb port or the battery I don't know - but I do know that it happened after I dropped it :x
