ACTIVESYNC! USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED! HELP ANYONE?

hey when i plug in my phone through usb it says 'usb device not recognized'!

reason it gives: One of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it.

driver status: No drivers are installed for this device.

If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter.

anyone know why this might be? i could sure use your help guys!

I presume you have installed Activsync before connecting the phone to the PC?

First thing to try is to reboot the PC and plug the cradle into another USB port.
