Hi all,

I have managed to get files somehow from net.

I'm just curious what is that fame "Red USB Cable" that is beeing used for upgrade?

Can I just do like this:

1. Update boot loader for sp2003 from sd card

2. update rest of files from card

Do I need "Red USB Cable" at all?

Thanks in advance

there is no official 2003 update for the 7070. If you have found an unofficial one its really not worth doing, you would be left with 2mb free space, not enough to run phone efficently.

Installing 2003 is not that simple, you do not need a special cable but

you do need the correct software.

a;lso as squall said it's pointless putting it on a 7070E100 etc as the phone does not have enough memory.

tnx for response awarner

the thing is that I do not use any software that doesn't comes bundled, so 2 mb of memory should be enough

I would like to do this just for test, to see what are improvements over sp2002

Can you please give me some directions, like name of software or link where to find some detailed instructions?

Thanks in advance

NO special cable Needed.

Upgrading your system will make your warez run much more quickly!!And the signal will become stronger!

Just do it!!

Hmm, maybe not...

If the instructions are talking about using a red USB cable it sounds like you have got hold of the Compal 2003 update. Not illegal as such but it'll make a nice mess of any handset you try flashing it to that isnt the Red-E.

You have been warned...

Also going to 2003 from 2002 does notmake a great differance in speed

and the same goes for the radio stack which on the dodgy 2003 SPV version was only a beta test.
