Guest whitecobra Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Does anyone know of a site where i could unlock my mpx200 by imei only. I don't have the USB cable as i bought the phone off ebay. I'm really anxious to use it so i don't want to wait that long for the cable. Thanks!
Guest squall Posted July 31, 2004 Report Posted July 31, 2004 the only way you could do that would be to get the unlock code from the original network itself. They are likely to charge £20, its unlikly they will give you the code as you arent the original owner. Other than that you will have to wait im afraid. I would try and get someone with a sim that does work in the phone to check its not been barred etc.
Guest Hipster Posted July 31, 2004 Report Posted July 31, 2004 Orange will unlock your MPX200 for free if you are on their network. Go to http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/comdefq.aspx I can't understand why nobody else has reported this. Some of the other postings on this topic suggest that you have no choice but to pay. It isn't true.

Guest aquila09 Posted July 31, 2004 Report Posted July 31, 2004 I think Orange only app unlock as I went to Orange to sim unlock my phone and they wanted to charge me £50.00!!!!!! I think it is best to get a USB cable and use http://www.imei-check.co.uk/mpx200unlock.php I had major problems with another company but these guys are really helpful and get the job done quickly.

Guest Sasuke Posted July 31, 2004 Report Posted July 31, 2004 needless to say this is for application unlocking, not http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=3976>SIM Unlock which the post was about the way of app-unlocking the phone OTA has been reported. as i remember, about a 1 yr or so ago. but yeah, im pretty sure he meant to sim unlock the handset, not app-unlock.
Guest Sasuke Posted July 31, 2004 Report Posted July 31, 2004 yeah im aware of http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=102618>OTA :D yup, i know you are. but someone else thinks we dont :P
