Can't get mms work to my mpx200

Hello,

I have got an mpx200 from orange out of the Uk.

Now I'm a belgian so I have Mobistar on my phone.

Can somebody help me with my settings of mms and other internet related stuff.

I have searched the site of my provide(mobistar) and have found the settings, but I don't know where I have to put where.

do I have to setup other connections too for getting mms to work

I would like to have internet also available.

and when I put it in the cradle that I can get internet through my pc.

To get internet through the PC you need to got to the Settings-Data connections on the phone and set 'Internet connection : pass through connection'. If the option is not available then goto PC Activesync program and then Options-Rules and make sure pass through is set to Internet.

The GPRS should be something like this :P

Programs Settings-Data Connections

Menu - Edit connections - GPRS connections

Menu - Add

Create proxy connection

Description: mobistar proxy

Connects from: The Internet

Connects to: WAP network

Proxy (name:port): 212.065.063.143:8080

Type: HTTP

Username: blank

Password: blank

Create GPRS connection for Tempo

Description: World4Tempo

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: tempomworld.be

User name: mobistar

Password: mobistar

or use...

Create GPRS connection for Optimum/Friends

Description: World

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: mworld.be

User name: mobistar

Password: mobistar

In data connections make 'Internet connection : World4Tempo' and 'WAP connect :World4Tempo'

In internet explorer, Menu-Options-Connections, UNTICK 'auto detect settings' and make 'Select Network: The internet'

Try and connect to www.google.com.

If you get 'unable to connect' error the change Internet and WAP connections to World instead of World4Tempo. ]

If you get a 'page not found'error then change IE to 'Select network: WAP network' and try again.

MMS SETUP

Create GPRS connection

Description : Mobistar MMS

Connects to : MMS connection

Access point:mms.be (Mobistar Friends and Optimum customers) tempomms.be (Tempo customers)

User name: mobistar

Paswword: mobistar

Settings - Accessories - MMS setup

First field: MMS

IP: 212.065.063.143

Port: 9201

Mmsc Address: http://mmsc.mobistar.be

If nothing works, check with your provider if it is switched on in the network. It could be as simple as that! :wink:
