help ! installing progs

I've got my SPV connected to my laptop at the moment trying to install either torch or backlight toggle , but I cannot remember where to install the files. Torch is an .exe file & bltoggle is a cab file . How do I either install one or the other , please

Copy the .exe to the Storage Card Programs using ActiveSync.

Right-click the file, copy and paste shortcut into IPSM (or Storage) Windows Start Menu.

Restart the phone and you will see the link in your Programs menu.

Copy the .cab file into IPSM (or Storage) Windows Start Menu Accessories. Go to the Accessories folder using the Programs menu and you will see the cab file icon. Click it and it will install itself.

cheers Disco Stu 4 that , I've installed backlight toggle but I'm not impressed . Sometimes it works , but nearly always goes off after about 28 seconds. If I'm playing a file on Media player the sound goes off when the screen light goes off. How does this program work ? and how can I take it off it not needed ?. many thanks.

Sorry mate, I have no idea how it works.

If you want to remove it you must uninstall it properly. You can either go to Settings, Add / Remove Programs or use the ActiveSync tool. When you've connected your phone, click on Tools then Add / Remove Programs. If you just delete the exe & shortcut you may leave registry entries behind which can cause problems later.
