Time out?

Just wondering if somebody could tell me what 'time out' means, found in settings > home screen.

if say you are in the stat menu, or inbox, or any other screen other than the homscreen, the timeout is how long until it jumps back to the homescreen (aslong as you arent pressing any buttons). Normally its best to set it to never, cos it can be annoying.
