Guest Simon Desser Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 EDITED AGAIN! Ok, I'm not shouting anymore :P  but, if you select your Data Connection to "IDLE DISCONNECT AFTER" = NONE (which is how I like it) It disconnects EVERY time a page is loaded  I can't believe things like this are not spotted :? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL MESSAGE:- ORANGE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED NEAR A ROM! On the brand new E200 Orange ROM, pressing the power key disconnects the GPRS connection    There is now no way to lock your keypad and stay connected to the internet for things like Messenger, as both previous methods of locking the keypad, disconnect the internet  Well wasn't that worth the wait :?: :!: :!: :!: EDIT:- ON CLOSER INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCONNECTING EVERYTIME A PAGE HAD LOADED  I'VE DONE A HARD RESET (should I really have to?) AND IT'S OK NOW SO I RETRACT MY ORIGINAL STATEMENT :D (Well sort of  ) 2ND EDIT:- IT'S STILL DISCONNECTING EVERY TIME A PAGE HAS LOADED  I'LL TRY RE-APPLYING THE UPDATE
Guest badboy4life Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 As far as I know Orange implemented that in the previous update. Anyway I think what your looking for is Here
Guest Simon Desser Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 As far as I know Orange implemented that in the previous update. Anyway I think what your looking for is Here No, you misunderstood what I was saying :P On the last ROM, you had to lock the keypad by pressing the power button, and then #3 - Keylock. But until I hard reset a few minutes ago, pressing the power key was disconnecting the GPRS connection :?
Guest Simon Desser Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 Simon, No need to SHOUT... SORRY! I CAN'T HEAR YOU
Guest martin Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 Ok, I'm not shouting anymore but, if you select your Data Connection to "IDLE DISCONNECT AFTER" = NONE (which is how I like it) It disconnects EVERY time a page is loaded Simon, that's how it should work :? Idle=NONE means the that there is 0 idle time so as soon as the data transfers ceases, the data the connection is released. If you were to set the idle time=10 then it will retain the connection for a total of 10 minutes of non data activity.
Guest Pondrew Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 Gotta agree with Martin. A non issue, surely?
