Win Mobile 2003 program recommendations

Could use some input on which programs work best on 2003 in a few different areas. What document viewer seems to work best? I've tried ClearVue Suite - locked my phone up both times ... the first time so badly I had to have the phone replaced. Is there something else out there that will read various document formats? I'm particularly interested in Word format and .pdf files. Also, what backup program works best ? I've tried to get Sprite backup to install but had absolutely NO luck. And finally - is pocket streets for smartphone actually working now ... and installable? I've tried it previously unsuccessfully & had to get a refund ... but that was before I upgraded the phone.
