cannot access/install programs!!!!!!

recentley i switched off my smartphone orange SPV E100 due to take an exam in college. later on when i switched it on again i realised that the settings were changed to default and i couldnt access any programs or even install other programs, every time i attempt to do so this the message it displays:

"ERROR

Access denied. the program cannot start because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate. please contact your service provider for more information."

i have no idea what this is all about. please help. thanks :cry:

ive had that happen a few times with my e100, itsa kinda like a partial hard reset. The reason you cant installl new progs or use some of the others is because the phone has recerted itself after the partial hard reset. So you will need to use the OTA to decert it again.

I dont know why it happens, its just one of those things...

Best guess is that it's caused by low battery and / or memory.

You might want to consider a full hard reset just to clear everything up.

Does Sound like a Partial Reset, as Disco Stu said it can be

caused by low battery power but can also be caused by dodgy

xml used in homescreens or playing with the registry.

The best thing to do now is a Hard Reset to wipe the phone and

start from scratch with a nice clean install :P

thanks everyone, but i still have a problem!!!! everyones telling me that in order to do a hard reset u have to switch off the phone, take the battery off for 30 seconds, then turn on the phone whilst holding the voice memo button and the action button. obviously that ends up taking me to the canary screen but doesnt reset the phone!!! im lost and kinda dont get it. please heeeeeelp!!!!!!!!!!
