Sprite Backup and Activesync

I've tried using Sprite Backup but it seems to have major problems with Activesync. It tells me that it has to reset the partnership to my phone to 'Guest' but it then brings up errors saying that an unpartnered device is trying to force a connection. I have eventually restored the backup (after several tries), but each time I use it I am left with a phone that is permanently recognised as a guest and will not synchronise with the pc. I have to remove and reinstall activesync each time i use sprite! Any ideas?

I was thinking the exact same thing last night, I had to reinstall activesync to get around this. Not good.

Eventually got it to back up after changing the port number to something random.
