Help please!!!

I was trying to upgrade my SAP to a Qtek 7070 when suddenly my PC

froze right in the middle of the process... Now, everytime i turn my

phone on, i go straight to a "Card Found" screen, then to the Canary

tri-color screen... Everytime i try to run the ROM update again, my

PC gives an error message that it can't identify thr ROM. I took it

to some repair guys and said that it needs reprogramming and will

cost me 1800Php... please help me!!! these guys are rippin me off!!!!

Will loading a bootloader on an SD/MMC help??? if anyone knows the

software... please!!! help me out....

This might sound like a query, but i'm desperate, im not really much into tinkering with my phone....

Calm down with the lage text :P

First off try a Hard Reset this may not do anthing but it's still the

first thing to try.

Next from the canary screen try an update (try the SAP one first)

If the update will not load correctly then try to install teh update on another PC. Remember to turn off any firewalls you may have etc.

first of all you wont be able to directly update your sap to qtek, you will need to use mar's procedure, specially when you have the 1.7 rom of smart. tryagain to install smart rom 1.7 from smart website, if you succeed, use mar's procedure to downgrade to qtek rom. if you don't succeed, try to bring your phone to brightpoint for reflashing, it will only take about an hour to finish, it will cost you nothing if your phone is still under one year (of course dont tell them that your trying to flash your sap with other roms, tell them that your trying to flash your sap with smart rom that you have downloaded from smart website and in the middle of upgrade something went wrong), if out of warranty i think they will charge you P440. for the labor and not P1800. goodluck

Thanks for trying to help me out guys...

But the methods still won't work... i have tried running the update for SAP 1.7 and the Qtek 7070... but i always get the "Error 116: Can't identify smartphone" message... Can reflashing be done only by technicians??? or is there a way i can do the reflashing myself???

Try running the update on another PC that can also help.

most of the time people succed by just trying and trying to re-run the update, like awarner said, try using another pc and turn of any firewalls. but if you are really having a hard time it would be best to just leave it to the experts by bringing it to brightpoint. it would only take around an hour.
