Guest schmiew1 Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 Hello Everyone. Had to phone Orange on Saturday as I had a SIM failure appear on my MPX200. Tried the sim in another MPX200 same problem and also in an SPV same problem again. Orange had problems with there systems so could not help me out, so phoned back Sunday, the call has had to be passed across to Orange Technical as the error code I got could not be found. 1 -12 day turn around. Hmmm this seems a bit of a joke as the phone is not at fault but the SIM card.... not a happy bunny, good job I have a Vodaphone sim to use in the mean time... Has anyone here had any dealing with Orange Techinal support ? Cheers Steve

Guest fundisi Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 I had a mpx200 with a faulty IR port - Orange tech support told me there was no IR port on the phone - I had a major argument with them - no luck. They stated if there was one, it was "unsupported" . Asked for a supervisor and got fobbed off with a "they are busy they'll phone again" In fact their advice was to call motorola, and confirm that the IR did actually exist! They couldn't give me an answer as to what they'd do about it when motorola confirmed the presence of an IR port on the phone, though. I phoned again later, and got someone who confirmed there was a problem with their system which did not have the IR port listed as being a supported item, but that their own usermanual showed quite clearly that there was an IR port. She logged a call with their technical support team, who were supposed to phone me with a solution. After 3 days later I sent the phone back and cancelled the contract. I am still waiting for the tech support to call me - 3 months later.
