DVD Profiler

On the PC there is an excellent app called "DVD Profiler". This essentially lets you enter your dvd's, by either scanning the barcode, or typing in the number, and it pulls from the imdb database all the details for it. From this, you can perform searches on all of your films, select a particular actor/genre whatever.

Most usefull though, is the facility where you can keep track of your dvd's, by setting them to 'on loan', detailing the person, and a due date with a reminder.

My question is, is there anything like this available for the smartphone, if not, would anyone consider making one like it, or even better, one that can be 'synced' with the desktop version.

There is nothing more annoying than having to ring up home before the purchase of a bargain dvd, to see if I already have it.

If you check out "http://www.collectorz.com/movie/", you'll see there already is software that can not only catalog your movies; but keep track of who you loaned them out to. And there is also a feature to export it to an HTML listing along with another listing to use it with "ListPro" from iLium Software. ListPro currently has a Pocket PC version of their software and i'm not sure, but they might also have a Smartphone version of their software.
