c500 realease date? Is it a joke?

Ok guys just had been on the phone to fonetasticwarehouse.com who is taking orders for c500 and promising to supply it by next week. But when I asked them whether they have any in stock, The answer was well predicted "No". "But we will be getting them this week off orange for sure" the phone representative told me in reply.

It wasn't satisfying for me so I decided to ring Orange UK branch. And when I asked them about the phone they seemed to be a little bit lost. He had to look through papers to find out information about it apparently, after that I was told they don’t know when it will be available in the shops in UK as they only have a piece of paper with some details about the phone, nothing more. When I mentioned to them about fonetastiswarehouse.com's deal they obviously told me what I suspected. "They will not be delivering the phone with on a week for sure as we still do not know when it will be released to UK customers; in-fact it might take them bit more then us to deliver the phone to you. It is more likely to be a bogus promise"

Now I understand for Orange making such statement about Fonetasticwarehouse.com (Obviously for business reasons) but the question is, when will it actually be released? I mean the orange shop in my area is saying different things. So I am really confused. I wouldn’t have bothered about going through this trouble but since I have lost my both phones last Saturday I didn’t want to get any pones from the shop when c500 is due to be out within a week time (well that’s what I thought). Now I am not sure when it will come out and certainly gone confused about the release date and really don’t know whether to wait for Orange to get it in the shop or order it through fonetastic.com :shock: .

Has anybody got any idea about the release date or any information about it at all?

I don't trust anyone with these release dates, when i got my SPV, i was told it would be out next week at the Orange Shop, then went down the road and bought one that had come in that morning at Carphone Warehouse.

Now i predict the C500 to be released at the end of October, so when it lands on my doorstep, it will be a nice surprise :P
