Customising of MRU

Hi guys, creating a custom and new XML script for me is still.. umm.. trivial to say the least :P

Question I have is this...

What must I do to be able to edit the MRU list, i think its called, the icons that were used last/previously?

Anywayz, those icons that are on the homescreen.. I want to be able to list them on screen like this:

*

*

instead of the default:

* * * * *

How would I go about doing this?
