Guest Lior Elkotser Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 Hi, I recently bought a Smartphone from USA, it came without the support for Hebrew language(right to left language like Arabic) I sometimes get Hebrew SMS messages that I can't read. Is there a solution for my problem ? I have this idea to create a Smartphone SMS reader that will connect to Smartphone outlook and get all my SMS messages and display them in Hebrew, Arabic or other languages that the users will need. Have you heard of such an application that exist in the market ? Do you think that it would be a useful application ? Regards, Lior

Regards, Lior <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure if this will help though, but no harm trying (rem to backup ur phone 1st) there is e same prob w chinese fonts on a english smartphone. i believe e fonts in default roms dun support alot of unicode characters. http://www.ppcsg.com/forums/viewtopic.php?...der=asc&start=0 so u can try: 1) Copy urfont.ttf (that supports hebrew) to a folder, eg. \Storage\windows\Fonts 2) For safety, copy nina.ttf and ninab.ttf from \Windows into the same folder too (they might be hidden, choose "show hidden files" in ur explorer), useful if you make mistake 3) Run regedit.exe (or smartione) 4) Create key - \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontPath 5) In the key, create the string value "FontPath", set it to the Font folder set in step 1 6) Create key - \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink 7) Create key - \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink In the key, create the string value "nina", point it to the Fonts, eg. \Storage\windows\Fonts\urfont.ttf,UrFont 9) Close regedit.exe. Reboot this shld do e trick Edited March 16, 2005 by digor23
