vpn wm 2003 exchange 2003 synch i600

body: verizon says they allow vpn. when i lock down port 443 on firewall, synchs fine. when i lock down port 80 can't synch.

not sure i set up vpn correctly correctly on the i600. added it, and in settings, connections, Internet Connection set to automatic; Work Connection set to automatic

edit VPN connections: IPsect/L2tp, server extern ip, Connects from Work; Connects to The Internet.

Activesync is set to use server. Nothing there to specify to use vpn.
