Incidentally- Rav- can you tell me what the SAR is on the phone from the manual please? Ta. Always a concern (if you're still online)
Guest rav1patel Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 no probs mate. the sar is 0.297 w/kg. well done on reserving that one mate, caused me a bit of hassle but it was worth it. they were gettin in more on tues but couldnt take the wait any longer.

Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 no probs mate. the sar is 0.297 w/kg. That is very low, I think the SPV3 is 0.8 something...
Guest bigmak Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 SAR= Specific Absorbtion Rate. The energy your head comsumes when your on the phone. (Explained in a very simple way)
Guest mcolbeck Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 I just got a C500 from the Orange shop in scarborough. First impressions are that it is awesome. i had been waiting for this or the MPX220 and my last phone was the original SPV. This is a different world to the original. What an awesome phone!
Guest blade001 Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 Just been the local orange shop to play with the phone. And I have gotta tell you, IT'S BLOODY AMAZING. Noticebly fast compared with E200 and the SPV original (That's the only two MS SmartPhone I have owned, So I can not compare with anyothers then these 2 :P). As paul said hte keypad takes a little bit getting used to. Apart from that it's great. The camera was really smooth. Orange home screen plugin is not bad eitehr. Over all IT'S AMAZING. My local shop not going to have any in stock till end of next week, so I will have wait till then. But I think I will go in and check out the stores in birmingham next week. They should have it by then. By the way, I have ony played with the black one, The sales assistant was saying, he thinks the black ones are the only one they more then likely to get. So I will have to be happy with the black one for the time being.
Guest machiavell1 Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 That is very low, I think the SPV3 is 0.8 something... Nope, picked mine up as well from Holborn. Rav is right- it is 0.297. Very chuffed. :P

Guest machiavell1 Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 Ah, I see- getting the hang of the numbers! I can't seem to get the OTA application unlocker to work on the C500. My IMEI is not registered (and I tried to use GPRS and the Action Register program) and it won't work. Major pain if I can't unlock the system, as no other apps to download or skins...

Guest zeta101 Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 i wonder if he used copy/paste or whether he typed it out each time :P
Guest rav1patel Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 so mach, what u think of it? im well chuffed. mines working perfectly, tried out a wmv file and the playback is really smooth and clear. been messing bout with it all day but the battery still shows four bars.
Guest machiavell1 Posted August 15, 2004 Report Posted August 15, 2004 Impressed. Slow start, and was a little concerned that the phone would jam up all the time, but now running smoothly! and managed to get it decertified also... so now to figure out how to use it properly... :P
Guest blade001 Posted August 15, 2004 Report Posted August 15, 2004 Sorry guys, just got a little bit excited after playing with the phone in the shop. :P
