Does anyone else suffer a memory drainage problem??

For example lets say I reset my phone before bed and it starts off with 13mb free program memory. Ill wake up in the morning and the phone memory will be down to 10-8mb left. By the course of the end of day it will be down to about 5mb, then the next morning its at about 1.5mb.

it actually drains memory faster than battery life hehe!

Does anyone else experience this, Additonally I use a taskmanager and close all the apps after I use them, so there not sitting there draining at night, but still are there any explanations for this?? Could my homescreen be depleting the memory

Any tips or advice most welcomed.

Thankyou.

I'm not a battery expert, but if you suspect it might be the homescreen you'd better let us know which one you've installed.

After you reboot the phone use Task Manager to see what processes are running.

When using the task manager properly, you shouldn't have such problems at all!

well for what its worth since I did the hardreset or Master reset as it would have it, the memory problem has gone.

Additionally though I didnt reinstall MMS software

and I now use Binarys tasksmanager as opposed to that, what I believe sketchy IA one.

The mms software is not the best written app there is and can cause general slowdown etc on the phone.

The specification for smartphone applications by Microsoft is for

all apps in the background not to use any cpu time and so not

drain the battery etc. Inreality this does not always happen and

I have found that apps like MyTools are real battery killers so best not to use them.

I have the same problem, fast memory depletion. Yesterday I uninstalled X-Bar and it looks as if it is now much better, overnight there was no memory drain. I will check for a few days, install X-Bar again and compare see whether I can repeat the phenomena. I suspect it is X-Bar, will let you know and will also contact the supplier once I know more.

I had the same problem before I installed x-bar. I installed it because I hoped It could make the problem go away.

If it helps for you to remove x-bar I will do it to cause it is very anoying.

For me it looks like this:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I reset my phone it has full mem.

when I use 1 program on my phone it makes the mem go down. No matter how much I use the program its more or less the same.

BUT as I use more different programs the memory goes down more and more for each new program.

I always shut down programs using taskmanager, x-bar, hibernate or quick closer.

but it doesn't really help

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really hope someone can find the problem.

I am planning to buy a new phone soon but I fear that the c500 has the same problem......so it might be the mpx I will buy instead.
