Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem.

I have set up an email account on my SPV (Pop3). The email works fine but now I want to delete it. When i try I only have the option to edit it.

I want to delete it from the SPV. How?

I had such a problem ... I think I solved it by setting up ActiveSync, it then asked me if all of my mail config and messages had to be deleted ...

How do I get Active Sync to do this. I just want delete the mail account. There must be a way of doing this.

configure activesync to use outlook

sync with phone

remove the outlook checkbox from activesync

email account now disabled on the phone.

(all settings are kept, but you have to go thru the setup process on the phone again)

you cannot delete the email account.

has pointed out you can only disable it.

other than that just edit it.

if you really can't live with those setting in your phone just put some dummy data in it

From Palm's Site:

Delete a POP or IMAP email account

Press Start .

Select Messaging.

Press Menu, then select Tools. Select Options.

Use the 5-way control to highlight the account you want to delete.

Press and hold Center on the 5-way control (or tap and hold with the stylus). The Delete pop-up appears. Tap Delete.

When asked to confirm, select Yes.

Worked for me.
